Vermair Update 15.1.16

Jan 15, 2016

The team at Vermair have been flat out over the last couple of weeks, as amongst other things, we narrow down our shortlist for the exciting up coming Karaka yearling sales!

We have our eyes on some exciting youngsters as we look forward to adding to our already nice line up of predominately young bloodstock.. Get in touch today to discuss what we can do to satisfy your horse interests!

If you don't want to wait the time it takes for a yearling to hit the track then we have only a couple of shares remaining in two 2yo colts selected from the recent Ready To Run sale.

Only 10% remains in this cracking colt by last seasons champion first season sire and champion 2yo sire- SHOWCASING.

Now in work at Te Akau Racing!

More info on the stunner here-

The other colt with just now 50% available is this handsome lad pictured below! Out of the proven producer Replicate, this colt has it all going on!

You can view his profile here-

On the track its all happening also!

We kicked the week off yesterday when MACKENZIE KATE ran a solid second. She had to work hard to sit outside the leader and fought on bravely to finish 2nd with a big gap back to the rest of the field. A win looks very near for her!

Tomorrow on the Champagne Turf at Trentham we have SON OF MAHER contesting the Group 1 $225,000 event. He has earned his spot in the field by winning his last 2 starts in impressive style but we are under no illusion this is a step up for him. While we all look to be chasing superstar Xtravagent, its a nice stepping stone for us to the $750,000 Group1 NZ Derby in March and he looks a genuine first 4 hope tomorrow.

On the same day Vermair interest PASSING SHOT lines up in the $250,000 Group1 Telegraph Handicap. The sprinter also comes into the race with winning form and is a genuine 1200m horse, from the handy barrier he is a chance of adding a Group 1 placing to his already impressive credentials. The other Vermair interest to line up on the day is SEIZE THE MOMENT who races as favourite in the $70,000 Group 3 Anniversary Handicap. He seems to relish the left handed way of going and comes into this feature winning 3 of his last 4 races.

Best of luck to all the mentioned horses and their connections!

Its an exciting time to get involved with Vermair so check out the opportunities available and don't hesitate to fire any questions or comments at us!
